Thumbs Up, Thumbs Down

Thumbs Up Quesadillas in the MarketplaceThey have finally found something for the long, lost space in the Marketplace and guess what? It's some fancy Mexicanish fare. The Registrar's office opening early on the first day of classes It seems that at least one office on this campus learns from previous years of experience. Additions to TDR Wow, who knew that such small changes could make such a big difference? It just goes to show that all TDR needs to improve and meet the needs of the students is a clear goal and good management. The Campaign Management and Lobbying Institutes Students came back to D.C. a few weeks early to have an extensive crash course on how to pursue two of the most popular careers in D.C. taught by industry insiders. The Eagle's new home Yep, like all of the second floor offices we had to move and after a hellish cleaning up period, we're all set up inside our lounge in the terrace of Anderson. Hey, we get cable TV and a kitchen. McDonald's finally opening After months of not knowing anything, the new bright addition to the tunnel is finally open. We'll take two coronaries to go, please.

Thumbs Down

McDonald's being months late and of course, to actually being McDonald's. We must ask again: How could there have been no better choices? Lack of enthusiasm for multicultural event in honor of Martin Luther King Jr. Come on, when the choir claps, the least the audience could do is clap along. Ricky Martin singing at the Lincoln Memorial for George W. Bush There are no words to describe why a sell-out Puerto Rican singing sensation should not have sung to a conservative politician except to say that it was wrong. Very wrong. The Eagle not getting thousands of dollars for our ideas As our loyal readers will remember, in the last issue of last semester we made suggestions to President Ladner while he was giving monetary rewards for "doable" solutions to make AU a better place. We made our suggestions, but alas, the students were ignored once again.

Section 202 hosts Connor Sturniolo and Gabrielle McNamee are joined by fellow Eagle staff member and phenomenal sports photographer, Josh Markowitz. Follow along as they discuss the United Football League and the benefits it provides for the world of professional football.
