After three weeks of discussion and hearings, the AU Club Council has released club fund allocations for the 2004 fiscal year.
According to Evan Wagner, chairman of the AUCC, the council allocated around $110,000 to 126 clubs who initially requested around $340,000.
Wagner said the "allocation was especially difficult because the requested amount was three times greater than our total budget." He also added that generally, clubs received more money than they received last year. These funds are drawn from the Student Activity Fee.
The council is administered by Student Activities and is independent of the Student Confederation. The council's members are elected by the clubs to represent one of five caucuses: religious, special interest, social, ethnic and cultural, and service, professional and academic. The allocations will be printed in Monday's Eagle.
