Women's Soccer defeats Lehigh 2-1, improves to No. 1 in PL

The AU Women's Soccer team continued its impressive league play with a 2-1 win at Lehigh on Saturday.

Freshman Jana Lee scored the game-winning goal for the Eagles in the 76th minute off a corner kick by sophomore Simone Konig. Also scoring in the victory was senior Anabel Jimenez, who was assisted by junior Amy Muller.

Senior goalkeeper Lauren Wohl notched six saves on 12 shots, being beaten only once, by Lehigh's Tara Stottlemyer in the 19th minute.

The win pushed the Eagles' overall record to 7-5-1, but more importantly pushed their Patriot League record to 4-1 to keep them tied with the Colgate Raiders atop the PL standings. Next up for the Eagles is a home date with Townson this Monday at 2 p.m.
