With win over Lafayette this weekend, Men's Tennis joins Army, Colgate in Patriot League top spot The AU Men's Tennis team served up an ace Saturday, defeating Patriot League rival Lafayette 7-0.

The Eagles received strong performances from seniors Jonah Fliegelman and Tushar Garg, who won their matches in straight sets. Fliegelman defeated Andrew Mott 6-3, 6-3 while Garg handled Brett Warren 6-2, 6-3. However the real story of the day came from the No. 3 seed, senior Guillaume Tarralle.

Tarralle took on Lafayette sophomore Peter Titus in what proved to be the most exciting match of the day. Tarralle took the first set 6-4 before losing the second set in a heartbreaker, 6-7 (3). In the last set, Tarralle battled Titus to the bitter end before finally defeating him 10-6. It was the only match to go three sets.

The Eagles also swept the doubles competition, picking up a strong performance from senior Andreas Kulscar and Garg. Kulscar and Garg defeated Warren and Craig Helstowski 8-5 in the one seed en route to the complete sweep.

The victory puts the Eagles in a tie for the PL regular season championship with Army and Colgate, all at 5-1.
