Bar Brief: Millie & Al's

Millie & Al's 2440 18th St. NW Metro: Woodley Park-Zoo/Adams Morgan (Red Line)

A

For anyone in the mood for a night away from the clubs, Millie & Al's is the place to go.

On any given night, visitors can watch sports on any one of their four big-screen TVs and listen to its favorite tunes on the jukebox. Every Thursday Karaoke night starts at 9:30 p.m every Thursday., and Fridays and Saturdays are DJ nights.

The entire place is done in wood and it's decorated with items like deer antlers, fish and beer logos. All this creates a feeling of being at an old-fashioned neighborhood bar, and anybody will feel at home when they step inside.

Beers are cheap - a mug costs $2 and a pitcher costs $8. In terms of food, it has an excellent variety, featuring items such as pizza and chicken tenders. A particularly great meal the bar offers is fried chicken with french fries and salad, which costs $6.

Section 202 hosts Connor Sturniolo and Gabrielle McNamee are joined by fellow Eagle staff member and phenomenal sports photographer, Josh Markowitz. Follow along as they discuss the United Football League and the benefits it provides for the world of professional football.
