Police Blotter

Wednesday, Sept. 15

A security alarm went off at the campus store. An employee observed a male subject by the elevator who fled when questioned. The subject fled into the garage, but upon searching the area he could not be found.

Thursday, Sept. 16

Vandalism was reported in Anderson Hall. A student found graffiti on the walls.

A fire alarm was reported in Leonard Hall. A smoke detector on the fourth floor was triggered by smoke from an overheated dryer. There was no actual fire present.

Damage to a vehicle was reported in the Nebraska lot. The vehicle, a Zipcar rental, was damaged sometime during the night, sustaining a broken back window.

Friday Sept. 17

A fire alarm was reported in Anderson Hall. Safety systems indicated a water flow, which tripped the alarm. The water flow would usually indicate that a sprinkler unit was triggered; officers investigating, however, found no fire, no smoke and no water flow.
