Readers may have noticed a change in The Eagle's layout style this year. Though the changes are not a large jump from the layout of previous years, The Eagle feels compelled to explain the idea behind our new design.
Our goal in changing our style was to be more consistent, clear and reader-friendly. We focused on our audience of students, and enacted changes to make our newspaper more accessible and easier to navigate than previous editions. We are also introducing features designed to make finding information easier, implementing the same typefaces throughout and larger graphics to create a consistant texture and reference points across our pages.
These small subtle changes may go unnoticed, but we hope they will contribute to your enjoyment of reading the student newspaper.
