'Blade' cuts a fine film

Wesley Snipes returns as Blade in this third film of the trilogy and he's just as great as before. David S. Goyer, who wrote the last two "Blade" films, also wrote and directed it.

"Blade: Trinity" has lots of action, but it also has more laughs than the first two. So that shouldn't be a problem for movie fans.

In the film, Blade is still the lone champion in the fight against the vampires, but they set him up so it looks as if he's murdered a human, and the FBI chases him. Now, not only does he have to deal with the vampires, but also with the humans he's protecting.

In addition, Blade has to go against Drake, otherwise known as Dracula, the original vampire. However, he's not alone. A group of vampire hunters, the Nightstalkers, join him on this fight. Among them are Hannibal (Ryan Reynolds) and Abigail (Jessica Biel), the daughter of Whistler, who Kris Kristofferson returns to play.

When Blade encounters the Nightstalkers, he learns of a virus that could wipe out every vampire in the world, but in order to do that, they need Drake's blood to make it work.

Aside from the action scenes and the weapons, which are awesome, Jessica Biel really does a fantastic job as Abigail in the movie. She's tough and capable of killing the vampires, but also can show her emotions at times. Ryan Reynolds provides most of the humor. Every word that comes out of his mouth will have audiences laughing.

Despite claims that this is the final saga of the Blade franchise, it could be argued that this movie isn't the final chapter and the ending leaves plenty of room for a possible fourth movie.

In the end, everyone really has to see the movie for himself. "Blade: Trinity" is a must-see and those who miss it will kick themselves.
