Scene Stealers: Best and Worst of Campus and D.C.

BEST GUERILLA ATTACK ON THE ESTABLISHMENT "Rocky Horror" on campus

After years of relying on GW for our seminal Halloween experience, a group of concerned AU students took charge this year and brought "Rocky Horror" to our very own campus. Though initially met with resistance from AU, eventually the brave "Rocky" fans won out because nothing really says AU quite like men in corsets and fishnets.

HIDDEN JEWEL ON CAMPUS Treble in Paradise

The all-girl a cappella group is somewhat overshadowed by its older counterparts, like Dime a Dozen and On a Sensual Note, but it is truly deserving of equal time and attention. Besides being tremendously talented, they're cute as a button!

HIDDEN JEWEL OFF CAMPUS Kreeger Museum

No, not the building on campus. The modern-looking white building on Foxhall is barely a five-minute walk from campus, and has more rare artwork per square inch than anywhere in D.C. Plus, the museum offers legitimate student discounts.

WORST ATTEMPT AT FEIGNING A BRITISH ACCENT ... EVER Cast of "The Importance of Being Earnest"

This production at the Arena Stage made Angelina Jolie's butchering of the English accent in "TombRaider" sound truly authentic. For professionals, it was utterly unbearable.

BEST EVIDENCE OF DIVERSITY AT AU "A Lo Latino" on the Quad

This kick-off to Hispanic Heritage Month was an entire day of music, dancing, performances, arts and crafts and, of course, food. In a great showcase of cultural diversity, people whose heritages sometimes go unnoticed on campus had an opportunity to display their pride. Kudos to the Office of Multicultural Affairs for organizing the event.

WORST WAY TO DIE

Having to sit in the Tunnel until the putrid smell either asphyxiates you or forces you to throw yourself in front of a speeding car not stopping for the stop sign.

WORST EXERCISES IN ADVERTISING Senior O.R.G.Y. Week and SC Elections

All those senior week events in September sure sounded fun. Wish we had known about them.

They changed the SC Constitution? There's an SC? Who knew?

HIPPEST SHAKESPEARE "Two Gentlemen of Verona"

The Folger Shakespeare Theatre took iambic pentameter, married it with Otis Redding and Marvin Gaye and gave us Shakespeare we could actually understand. As it turns out, Shakespeare is pretty funny!

BEST CHORAL ENSEMBLE RENDITION OF WHAT P. DIDDY'S RIPPED OFF "Carmina Burana"

The AU Concert Choir and Chamber Singers paired up to bring the hauntingly beautiful German cantata to a packed house in Kay Spiritual Life Center. The Children's Chorus of Washington was a nice touch as well.

Section 202 hosts Connor Sturniolo and Gabrielle McNamee are joined by fellow Eagle staff member and phenomenal sports photographer, Josh Markowitz. Follow along as they discuss the United Football League and the benefits it provides for the world of professional football.
