Two AU Men's Soccer players and two AU Volleyball players were selected for season-ending all-region honors this week.
For soccer, seniors Shawn Kuykendall, a midfielder, and Charlie Koniver, a defender, were selected to the All-South Atlantic second and third teams, respectively.
Kuykendall finished as AU's leading scorer, tallying seven goals and 10 assists from his midfield slot. He was also named Patriot League player of the year, as he led AU to the PL title and the second round of the NCAA tournament. With 29 career assists, he sits second on the AU all-time list.
Koniver anchored a defense that recorded 11 shutouts, and had a goals-against average of .80 per game. He also twice won the Brine Defensive Player of the Week award. In four years, Koniver missed only two games and started 76 of 83 total matches.
For volleyball, junior middle blocker Cutrina Biddulph won a spot on the Northeast Region All-Region Team, while senior middle blocker Natacha Cornaz received honorable mention.
Biddulph was the prime offensive option for the Eagles, who went 24-7, and 16-0 in the PL, en route to their fourth straight league title and NCAA tournament appearance. And her 1.10 block-per-game average is the third highest in AU volleyball history.
Cornaz won her honor despite having an injury-shortened season. Cornaz was second in kills-per-game on this year's team, while Biddulph finished first.
The soccer and volleyball awards were both endorsed by their coaching associations.
