The eighth annual National Conference on Organized Resistance was held on campus during the weekend. Supporters from all around the nation descended on AU for the four-day event, some of them housed by AU students.
NCOR supporters are mostly respectful of campus and don't cause any disturbance. It's good that AU allows NCOR to take place on campus, and even better that NCOR appreciates this and respects AU.
However, if NCOR wants to be more successful, it would do well to do a better job clearly advertising what it is. The posters around campus were unclear, and the flyers asking to give a place for NCOR visitors to stay used a very unclear "house an activist!" tagline. The result was that only NCOR supporters even know that it was happening. If they want to find new converts, they need to advertise better.
