Interpol lyrics are officially the worst ever written.
The Council for Lack of Lyrical Greatness convened earlier this week and named Interpol the band with the worst lyrics of all time.
Steve Crane, a representative of the C.L.L.G. said he backed the decision.
"Going into this, we all thought the decision would be pretty difficult, but ultimately that wasn't the case," Crane said. "With lyrics like 'You make me want to pick up a guitar and celebrate the myriad ways that I love you,' it really was no contest."
Interpol lead singer Paul Banks said he vowed revenge.
"I'm sort of like a lion's cage," Banks said. "They don't want to cross me"
