Dear Senior class and the American University Community:
We are the Senior Class officers and are here to ask for your help. Each year the Senior Class takes on the mammoth task of raising money for the senior class gift, with each subsequent class having a goal of doing better than the class before it. This year our fund-raising goal is $60,000. Our class gift will be a student lounge in the Katzen Arts Center and a $10,000 donation to the Student Endowment for the Library. We are almost halfway to our goal, and we can only reach it with your help. However, do not get us wrong. This class gift is about more than goals and numbers - it is about our legacy here at AU. It is our way of leaving a lasting mark on the AU community, much like the 1992 gift of the clock on the Quad or the 2001 gift of the Cyber Caf?. With your gift of just $20.05 we will be able to reach our goal.
However, your help will not go unnoticed. We are doing the "give a gift, take a gift" program. If you come to our tabling, you will get a gift in return. You could win a new class T-shirt or gift certificates to Maggiano's, Best Buy, Starbucks or even Borders. Thank you in advance for your support.
