Thumbs Up

SOC's Reel Journalism festival ... SOC is bringing films such as "Citizen Kane" and "Almost Famous" to campus. This event will be an awesome chance to see great films.

John Edwards coming to speak on campus ... Kudos to the SC for bringing such a significant political figure of recent times to campus to speak. We're sure Edwards will have plenty of interesting insights on the 2004 campaign.

RHA's 'Singled Out' ... The new Mr. American Michael Prather took part in a 'Singled Out' event in which a lucky girl won a date with him

Thumbs Down

Gas prices going up ... Gasoline prices are once again on the rise. This is especially brutal for District-dwellers who have to waste gas in stop-and-go city traffic.

The 5:30 a.m. fire alarm on Monday ... After a glorious respite from the sleep-intrusive fire alarms, our streak of fireless nights was broken Monday, sending hundreds of sleepy residents scurrying out of the buildings.

The Nationals lose their first game ... Our new baseball team started off the hard way, losing to the Phillies in Philadelphia Monday. Let's hope they turn it around soon.

Cherry Blossoms not blooming yet ... The star of this weekend's Cherry Blossom Festival has not yet made an appearance.

Section 202 hosts Connor Sturniolo and Gabrielle McNamee are joined by fellow Eagle staff member and phenomenal sports photographer, Josh Markowitz. Follow along as they discuss the United Football League and the benefits it provides for the world of professional football.
