All Thumbs

Thumbs up

The "Carnivore Initiative" ... The College Republicans were out and about on the Quad Wednesday, celebrating their views and partaking in free food. This is proof that there is more to political action than radical activism.

Silent Day ... This event, put on by AU Queers and Allies, gave students an opportunity to demonstrate for gay rights.

Beautification Day ... Students and staff came together to spruce up the campus for the spring. Free labor, free food and an appearance by Ben Ladner: all in a day's work.

Darfur Action ... Students banded together to raise money for a refugee camp. They've collected $1,500 so far, so let's help put them over the top!

Thumbs down

Poor attendance to Pura Vida's on-campus presentation ... Considering the huge campus reaction to the Starbucks/Pura Vida issue, it's really surprising that more students didn't come to hear what a Pura Vida spokeswoman had to say.

Urine in Anderson Hall elevators ... Come on. Could you really not wait until you got off the elevator and into a bathroom?

The class registration process ... The AU Registrar's office should really reconsider its decision to only put registration information online. Students are confused as to what is being offered this semester and when they will be able to register. People are being unfairly locked out of full classes due to the confusion.

Section 202 hosts Connor Sturniolo and Gabrielle McNamee are joined by fellow Eagle staff member and phenomenal sports photographer, Josh Markowitz. Follow along as they discuss the United Football League and the benefits it provides for the world of professional football.
