Demonstration: Fillibuster-a-thon 12-6 p.m., Howard University Watch Congressman John Lewis (D-Ga.), several D.C. Council members and other community leaders talk for six straight hours to protest the Republican proposal to eliminate filibusters in the Senate.

Lecture - Adult Fora: The Reverend Sharron Dinnie 10:00 a.m. St. John's Church, 16th and H streets, NW at Lafayette Square The Rev. Sharron Dinnie, rector of an Anglican church in Spring, South Africa, will speak. She is the founder of Daggafontein Primary School, which serves 170 children from a nearby squatter camp.
