Metro brief: Police search for missing UMd. student

Arvin Sharma, a 22-year-old University of Maryland student, has not been seen since he left to spend a night out with a group of old friends.

Now police are asking for the public's help with any information leading to Sharma, who was last seen at Club Lime, a popular nightspot in Southwest D.C., according to washingtonpost.com.

"At this point, we've got to suspect foul play because none of this is like Arvin," said Ashish Sharma, Arvin's brother. "He would never disappear like this."

As his group was getting ready to leave Club Lime, they could not find Arvin.

According to Ashish, they looked in the bushes behind the club and even in the corner of the club to make sure Arvin was not passed out somewhere.

Arvin was last seen wearing blue jeans, a black New York Yankees baseball cap and black Timberland boots, the washingtonpost.com reported.

He was scheduled to graduate from the University of Maryland in four weeks.
