This annual citywide event pays tribute to Ellington, a native Washingtonian. The debut of the five-day event will feature a line-up including the Dave Brubeck Quartet, the Wayne Shorter Quartet, the Chico O'Farrill Afro-Cuban Jazz Orchestra, Jerry Gonzalez and the Fort Apache Band, D.C.'s own Chuck Brown, vocalist Sunny Sumter and many others.
