All thumbs

Thumbs up

Men's B-Ball 2OT Thriller... The team gave the fans quite a game, overcoming Army and exposing their lack of a viable exit strategy, winning 65-63. Freshman Jordan Nichols did a stellar job under the hoop.

Warm weather.. The temperature has been rather welcoming since students returned this week. Some snow would be nice, but only if it leads to a snow day.

Big Ben & "The Tackle"... Pittsburgh's QB saved the day, as well as the spirits of the Steel City, with an amazing grab after the Colts recovered a fumble. Now it's on to Denver, and hopefully Dee-troit and "one for the thumb."

Thumbs down

Independence Air ... The low-cost carrier loved by many at AU closed shop on Jan. 6. It was nice while it lasted, guys. United and Southwest have pretty good fare rates, so you all would be wise to check them out.

Bookstore... Books are still expensive, and don't you hate it when they switch to a new book after you bought a new one last semester? We recommend half.com to you all.

Late grades... Some AU students had to wait until after the new year to get their grades. While AU policy is to have grades submitted within 72 hours of final exams, some professors skated around the deadline. If we have to take our finals when scheduled, our grades should be available by the deadline.

Section 202 hosts Connor Sturniolo and Gabrielle McNamee are joined by fellow Eagle staff member and phenomenal sports photographer, Josh Markowitz. Follow along as they discuss the United Football League and the benefits it provides for the world of professional football.
