Playstation 2 prices plummet as consumers await PS3 debut

Playstation 2 prices are now $129.99, down from $149.99 as Sony anticipates the release of its Playstation 3 later this year, Bloomberg News reported.

The move comes after Sony delayed the PS3 after new DVD technology standards were held up. Microsoft will now have more time to push its Xbox 360, released earlier this year.

Negroponte: U.S. to hold worst terrorism prisoners as war progresses

National Director of Intelligence John Negroponte said this week the worst terrorism prisoners will likely be detained as the war on terror continues, according to Time Magazine.

"These people are being held. And they're bad actors," Negroponte said. "And as long as this situation continues, this war on terror continues, I'm not sure I can tell you what the ultimate disposition of those detainees will be."

Negroponte's comments appear to be the first official acknowledgement of the previously reported secret prison system operated by the United States.
