Corrections from Sept. 28

In an article titled "IFC wants two fraternities out," it was stated that Epsilon Iota "does not follow any sort of bylaws." An elected officer of EI told The Eagle that EI does in fact follow a set of by-laws.

In an article about the Rude Mechanicals, Katie Molski's name was misspelled.

In an article titled "Board of trustees approves Sudan divestment," information on the involvement of two student groups, AU Hillel and Darfur Action, was inadvertently omitted. AU Hillel, along with CASJ, met with AU's administration, in addition to encouraging its members to sign the Sudan divestment petition. AU Hillel also worked with Darfur Action to transport 100 AU students to the Global Day for Darfur rally held in New York City on Sept. 17. The AU presence at the rally was mentioned by Travis McArthur, a source in the article, as a "key factor" in convincing trustees of student engagement on the issue.

In a campus news brief titled "Search continues for GLBTA Center director," it was incorrectly stated that two past efforts of the GLBTA Resource Center hiring committee to name a new director were unsuccessful because the committee could not come to a consensus. In reality, there was consensus, but the search efforts did not culminate in a hire due to a lack of mutually agreeable terms of employment with the top candidates for the position.

The Eagle apologizes for these errors.
