Condom brand asks for volunteer testers

Durex, a U.S. condom maker, has received 4,000 applicants since last Monday for an offer to volunteer to test its products first-hand and report the results, the New York Post reported.

Durex said 1,000 applicants will be chosen, with one tester receiving a $1,000 cash prize, United Press International reported. Other volunteers will receive free condoms and other products, according to UPI.

"Durex wants condom and lubricant users to not only have safe sex, but to have fun," the brand's manager Stephen Mare said in a press release obtained by UPI. "What better way to ensure that our products are meeting the needs of Americans than to ask them first-hand?"

Testers will each get a dozen condoms, along with lubricant and a vibrating ring, the New York Post reported.

Interested applicants can fill out a form on Durex's Web site.
