Sports brief

The women's soccer team tied Navy 2-2 at home yesterday, remaining undefeated in Patriot League play with a 3-0-1 league record and a 9-5-1 record overall.

Sophomore Kelsey Brasher scored both goals for AU, giving her 11 total for the season. Her first tally came at the 33rd minute to give the Eagles a 1-0 lead, an advantage they would take into the break.

Navy would take control of the game early in the second period, scoring twice in three minutes to take a 2-1 lead.

Brasher's second goal of the game brought the Eagles back into the match, tying the game at 2, a score that would stand even through two overtime periods.

AU goalie Kelsey Wiggins made two saves while her counterpart Lizzie Barnes stopped seven shots in the 110-minute match.

The Eagles next play on Friday at home on Reeves Field against the Holy Cross Crusaders. The match kicks off at 2 p.m.
