Some AU facilities unavailable during inauguration event

AU President Neil Kerwin's inauguration ceremony and a subsequent reception will affect the university's class schedule and the availability of certain venues on campus Feb. 8. The inauguration will begin 11 a.m. in Bender Arena, while the reception begins 2 p.m. on the first floor of Mary Graydon Center.

Classes that meet between 8:30 a.m. and 4:50 p.m. will be shortened from 75 to 50 minutes and will meet at different times to accommodate for the inauguration ceremony.

*8:30-9:45 a.m. classes will meet from 8:30-9:20 a.m. *9:55-11:10 a.m. classes will meet from 9:30-10:20 a.m. *11:20 a.m.-12:35 p.m. classes will meet from 1-1:50 p.m. *12:45-2 p.m. classes will meet from 2-2:50 p.m. *2:10-3:25 p.m. classes will meet from 3-3:50 p.m. *3:35-4:50 p.m. classes will meet from 4-4:50 p.m.

Several dining venues on campus will be affected by the ceremony and the reception. *Block Express - Open from 7:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. *Chick-Fil-A - Closed *Einstein's - Open from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. *Field of Greens - Closed *Panini Express - Closed *Pura Vida - Open from 7:30 a.m. to noon *Tavern - Closed *University Club - Closed

Additionally, the Jacobs Fitness Center will delay opening until 2:30 p.m. that day.
