A season of numbers

A closer look at the men's and women's 2007-2008 basketball seasons

20993: The overall number of people who went to Bender Arena to watch men's home games this season.

4097: The overall number of people who attended women's home games this season.

3994: The highest attendance at a men's home game when the team played against Holy Cross for the annual Phil Bender game.

1749: The average attendance at men's home games.

848: The highest attendance at a women's home game, which was the Feb. 23 game against Holy Cross.

315: The average attendance at the women's home games.

32: The highest margin of victory in the women's season in a game against Navy Feb. 27.

23: The highest margin of victory in the men's season in a game against NJIT on Nov. 24. NJIT went on to have a 0-29 season, the only winless season in Division I history.

10: The longest winning streak of the season for the women's team. The streak began Jan. 26 against Holy Cross and continued until the end of the regular season against Lafayette March 1.

7: The longest losing streak of the season for the women's team. The streak began Dec. 19 in the team's game against George Mason and ended Jan. 19 against Colgate.

6: The longest winning streak for the men's team. The team began to win Feb. 2 against Lafayette and ended Feb. 27 against Navy.

3: The lowest margin of victory in the women's basketball season. The game was against Lafayette March 1.

2: The lowest margin of victory in the men's basketball season. The game was against Jacksonville Dec. 7.

1: The standing both AU basketball teams currently have going into the Patriot League tournament.
