Two ATV riders stabbed; police responder gets into traffic accident

An unknown assailant fatally stabbed one man and critically injured another man who were riding all-terrain vehicles through a wooded area in Prince George's County Tuesday night, The Washington Post reported yesterday.

The attacker jumped the two ATV riders near Surratsville High School - a few miles south of Andrews Air Force Base.

A police officer who attempted to respond to the scene had a traffic accident and sustained head injuries, according to The Post.

The first victim died at the scene, but paramedics transported the second man to a hospital. Paramedics also transported the police officer to a hospital, The Post reported.

Police said the attack occurred around 8 p.m. but did not discuss a possible motive.

The Post gave no mention as of press time if they had identified a suspect in the incident.
