Stay stylish: Dude, where's my fashion?: Spring trends for men

OK men, we know we have neglected you for a little bit, but this one is for you. We have the tips to keep you looking stylish this spring because, let's face it, most men in college don't have the best sense of fashion. We'll quickly change that for you.

Bright colors

So you have probably seen this header a lot the past few weeks, but we really cannot stress it enough. Bright colors are essential to any spring wardrobe. Many guys are hesitant to venture into the bright colors arena and stick to the typical reds and blues for color. This spring, try a bright green or orange polo. We guarantee you will be happy with the outcome. Just a few tips for boys and wearing color:

-Keep it around your face, i.e. leave the bright pants and bright socks at home and bring out the bright shirts and ties.

-Stay away from loud colored patterns. They are distracting and eye-catching in a bad way. If they were ever in, it was in the '80s, and we are all happy to have moved on.

-If you want to wear color into the office, but are afraid of your clothes being too loud, try a French blue. A French blue is a rich, medium blue that looks great on button-down shirts.

Polo shirts

This topic calls for a little history lesson. René Lacoste, a French tennis player, made the polo shirt one of the most popular wardrobe basics out there. Until he designed the Lacoste polo in 1950, polo shirts only came in one color - white. Now, polo shirts come in numerous colors and patterns. The polo shirt is a staple for guy's fashion, especially in the spring. Next time you are thinking about putting on that T-shirt lying on your floor, just take an extra 20 seconds to pull a polo out of your drawer.

Flip flops

Everyone looks forward to the first warm day after a disgusting winter when they can pull out their favorite pair of flip-flops. Flip-flops instantly make you look and feel more spring-like. They are so easy and match with almost every outfit and can be worn day and night.

Sunglasses

Many people forget about sunglasses because they are just another thing to lose, but they are a very useful fashion accessory. This spring, don't forget to wear your sunglasses on nice days. You will protect your eyes and look stylish all at once.

We hope that this spring and summer you guys venture out of your fashion comfort zone and try something new. If you are always wearing T-shirts or sports jerseys, this season is the time for change. Enjoy the warm weather.
