The Undergraduate Senate unanimously approved Sara Al-Hemaidi as deputy design director Sunday afternoon.
As deputy director, Al-Hemaidi will work with Director of Design Natalie Kirkpatrick, The Eagle's former managing editor for production, and will be responsible for designing marketing materials for the Student Government, including advertisements, posters, fliers and other publications. Following Al-Hemaidi's confirmation, the senate approved a stipend of $750 for the work she will be completing this academic year.
Al-Hemaidi's confirmation came one week before the new Undergraduate Senate will be sworn into office. Students will vote for the new senators Monday. The new senators will take office and hold their first meeting the following Sunday afternoon. The current senate will hold their last meeting earlier that afternoon.
