Student group holds culture show

The South Asian Student Association will hold its 2008 culture show Oct. 24 in the Tavern, according to the Sophia Milla, a member of SASA and junior in the College of Arts and Sciences.

"It is a multicultural event which will focus on the Indian culture," she said. "There will be traditional Indian performances as well as bhangra, an Indian influenced dance which originated in the Punjab region of India."

Along with the dance performance, the event will feature a fashion show, which will present the traditional Indian sari, and an Indian food buffet, according to Milla.

The culture show is free, and all are welcome to bring guests to the event.
