Blink-182 reunites

Pop-punk favorite Blink-182 announced on their Web site this past week that they will be reuniting and producing a new album due out this summer.

The band, which formed 17 years ago with two of the three current members, has previously recorded five albums, according to the Geffen Records' Web site.

The current members of the band, Mark Hoppus, Tom DeLonge and Travis Barker, have performed in numerous other projects with each other and other musicians like +44, Angels and Airwaves, The Transplants and Boxcar Racer. Blink-182 went on hiatus indefinitely in February 2005, according to MTV.com.

The band created a Twitter account and posted an update about the end of their hiatus Feb. 8. They have since gained more than 6,000 followers.
