Kerwin releases budget to campus

AU President Neil Kerwin released the fiscal year 2010 and 2011 budget information to the campus community last week. For FY2010, the university's budget is $456,700,000 and for FY2011 is $479,200,000.

TUITION (numbers are over two years, unless otherwise noted) Tuition - 5 percent increase MBA and Graduate Business Program - 3 percent increase Summer Undergraduate - 6 percent increase (FY2010); 5 percent increase (FY2011) Summer Graduate and MBA - No increase (FY2010); 5 percent increase (FY2011)

OTHER COSTS Student Technology Fee - $120 for full-time students per semester, $40 for part-time students per semester Residence Halls - 4.5 percent increase over two years Parking - $3 increase per month (Faculty, staff and students will pay $117/month starting May 2009, $120/month in May 2010.)

OTHER BUDGET HIGHLIGHTS (numbers are over two years) Financial Aid - $9.4 million increase Athletics - $138,000 increase Development - $258,000 increase Library Acquisitions - $700,000 increase
