Prince George's County Police officers and Maryland National Capital Park Police officers shot and killed an armed man early Tuesday morning in a Temple Hills Restaurant, The Washington Post reported.
D.C. resident Nicholas Howard was shot several times by officers who were called to Gill's Holiday Liquor Sports Bar and Restaurant, according to the Post.
Maj. Andy Ellis told the Post that officers were patting Howard down when he broke free and pulled a weapon. He fired at officers and ran back into the restaurant after being hit in the abdomen. Police killed Howard when he exited the restaurant again and continued to fire at police, Ellis told the Post.
