Letter from the editor

Dear readers,

While it has been a full year since I officially took over as The Eagle's editor in chief, it seems like it's barely been a month or two. However, as with all things, my tenure must come to an end. After this issue, I pass the torch on to my successor for the 2009-2010 academic year - Jen Calantone.

Jen, who has served as this newspaper's managing editor for news since early October, has worked at The Eagle since the spring of 2007 - first as a news reporter, then as an assistant and section editor for our campus news desk. Jen has been a dedicated and extremely competent asset to our staff in every position she has served in. I have full confidence she will continue to ably and effectively serve you, our readers, as she steps into her new role as The Eagle's editor in chief.

It has been a pleasure and an honor to serve as your editor in chief this year. I wish all of you the best of luck, whether this letter finds you at the close of your first or final year at this university.

Jimm Phillips Editor in chief, 2008-2009

Section 202 hosts Connor Sturniolo and Gabrielle McNamee are joined by fellow Eagle staff member and phenomenal sports photographer, Josh Markowitz. Follow along as they discuss the United Football League and the benefits it provides for the world of professional football.
