Men's soccer brief

MEN FALL SHORT AFTER CUP VICTORY

The men's soccer team struggled this weekend, losing to Princeton University 3-0 and Monmouth University by the same score.

Coming off of a D.C. College Cup win, the men were strong favorites in both games. It looked like it was going to be a low scoring affair against Princeton, as neither team could get anything going in the first half. Princeton came out strong in the second half, and AU was unable to keep up, surrendering three goals.

It was a very different game against Monmouth. The team took themselves out of the match early on, as they gave up three goals in the first half.

The team will look to rebound with a game against William and Mary University Sept. 18 at home.
