Women's soccer brief

WOMEN CONTINUE TO ROLL

AU women’s soccer continued to roll through non-conference play on Sunday with a 1-0 win over Radford University.

The team looks nothing like the one that couldn’t win close games last year, when the Lady Eagles could not finish games off and lost early leads. Head coach David Bucciero made it his prerogative to win the close games this year.

Sunday’s game continued that goal as AU jumped out to a 1-0 lead in the waning minutes of the first half, on a goal by Kelsey Brasher. The defense stepped up in the second half, limiting Radford to only four shots.

AU’s next game is Friday, Sept. 18 against Loyola Maryland University at home. With a win, the team will tie the number of wins they had last year at five.
