A student reported being possibly followed as she crossed a street near the Berkshire Apartments. As she approached a crosswalk directly across from the apartments, a male startled her as he came out of some bushes adjacent to the sidewalk. The male looked at her, started in a different direction and then turned around and walked past her as she waited at the crosswalk. When the light changed, she hurried across the street. She heard the male taking quick steps behind her and felt he was following her. She quickly entered the apartments and does not know which way the male went. She notified DPS. DPS canvassed the area with negative results. The student was not harmed and no words were exchanged.

A resident reported that two inebriated males entered her Letts Hall room without knocking or being invited. The suspects were identified with Facebook pictures. DPS learned the males were roommates in another residence hall. DPS and a resident director went to the males’ room but were unable to contact them. Housing and Dining will forward the incident to the Office of Student Conduct and Conflict Resolution.

Nov. 8

A resident director reported that a fire extinguisher was thrown from the sixth floor sky lounge of Letts Hall and landed on the roof area above the entrance to the building. Two individuals were seen leaving the lounge immediately after the extinguisher landed on the ledge. Several students told the resident director they saw the individuals remove an extinguisher from the fourth floor and proceed to the sixth floor lounge. When the resident director questioned the individuals, they denied being involved in the incident. The individuals gave varying and conflicting accounts as to their current affiliation with AU. Eventually, it was determined the individuals were AU students. Facilities Management was notified.

A student placed her cell phone on a table in the Terrace Dining Room and turned from it for about two minutes. When she looked for it again, it was missing.
