A man was held on bail Wednesday after being arrested in a vacation home in Indiana, according to the Associated Press.
Police told the AP that Alex Kupczynski broke into at least four vacation homes around Webster Lake, about 30 miles northwest of Fort Wayne.
Kupczynski chose houses that did not have recent tracks in the snow and appeared to be unoccupied, according to police. He ate food, drank beer and slept in the beds he found in the houses.
Police caught Kupczynski Jan. 20, after they found his wallet in a set of overalls belonging to a homeowner and then followed his footprints to another house.
Kupczynski has been charged with four counts of burglary.
