ROTC practices at AU for the first time
AU’s ROTC cadets held their physical training on the turf field, track and gym three times this week, their first at AU fitness facilities, according to Brett Atanasio, a Class of 2013 senator and chairman of the SG’s Committee for the Review of University Military Policy.
Senate doles out $11k to cover SUB deficit
The Undergraduate Senate disbursed an additional $82,797.73 on Jan. 30 to various organizations.
SUB will use $11,389.94 of its allocation to pay back a deficit incurred during a Cee Lo Green concert Jan. 14.
Women’s Initiative was given an additional $1,931.90 beyond their $10,000 request to correct a Student Activities’ accounting error, according to Taylor Yeates, chairman of the SG’s Special Committee on the Budget.
SG passes bill to change executive compensation
The Senate also reformed executive compensation for the first time in three years.
The president’s pay was lowered during conversations in the Special Committee on the Budget.
The Chair of the Board of Elections is not given a regular salary because the position is only active right before, during, and after elections.
The following outlines the new pay structure in the AUSG.
Grade A: President of the AUSG
Grade B: Vice-President, Comptroller, Secretary
Grade C: Director of Women’s Initiative, Director of the Kennedy Political Union, Director of Student Union Board
Grade D: Programming Director of Women’s Initiative, Director of Student Advocacy Center, Director of Design, AUTO Commissioner
Grade E: Director of Bike Lending, Director of Communications & Marketing, Director of Information Technology
Grade F: Executive Board
Grade G: Speaker of Undergraduate Senate
Grade H: Chair of Judicial Board
Grade I: Additional Legislative and Judicial
