Crime Alert: Attempted robbery in TDR Dec. 15

Incident On Thursday, December 15, at approximately 11:30 p.m., an attempted robbery occurred inside MaryGraydon Center (MGC) on the Terrace Dining Room Level. The victim was a Bon Appétit staff member.

The following was reported to the Department of Public Safety on December 15: While the victim conducted her duties inside the kitchen area she opened the door for an individual she thought she recognized. An unknown male entered the room stated “give me the money,” and grabbed the victim by the shirt. As the victim stepped backwards, she slipped on the floor. The suspect then attempted to grab the victim by the ankle and pull her towards a room where money is stored. The suspect also began to unroll what the victim thought was a ski mask. As the victim yelled for help, others who were in the vicinity of the area startled the suspect and he ran. No weapon was used during the incident. The victim sustained minor injuries.

Description of Suspects: The suspect is described as an African-American male, between 18-to 22-years-old, approximately 175 pounds and 5’5” tall. The suspect has a medium build and dark complexion, with no facial hair. At the time of the incident, he was wearing dark colored clothing.
