Eagle Rants: March 27, 2013

• Three boys were flirty with me today.. I feel cute :)

• Comrade Ivan Leonidovich Krasnov for Premier of AU Politburo- so that the revolutionary state of the students and workers may succeed!

• That's the third time I asked the shuttle driver to let me off at van ness and I didn't get off at van ness. So much for that being a perk.

• @Right now I feel like Dale while you are Andrea. - I feel like such a TWD nerd for completely understanding that reference... Definitely not aimed at me but kudos to you for that!

• YESSSSS TWD FANS WHO ELSE IS SO NOT READY FOR THE SEASON FINALE THIS SUNDAY!?!?!?

• I don't believe in love

• @why is it that girls who like me... ME TOO life would be way easier if you could just flip a switch somewhere and be attracted to people who like you

• Pat Kelly needs to run for my president of my heart

• the only reason i want to go back to SIS mentorship is because i want to do a guy in my group, make it happen SIS!

• @Dale: The whole point of that sequence was that Dale was being the friend Andrea needed and deserved, even if he wasn't the one she wanted. You sound like a good person. Good luck with whatever's going on.

• @"@People at AU have the whitest problems ever. I disagree. People at AU have the blackest problems ever." - insert reactionary rant criticizing your perceived racism and privilege which I am actually just projecting from myself onto you.

• @Charlie Brown ranter: that was the cutest thing ever. I wish you luck with your little redheaded girl.

• I hereby propose the formation of a Ginger Defence League! We will unite to combat that most prevalent form of bigotry, gingerphobia, and maybe even secure funds from AU's Centre for Diversity and Inclusion! HUZZAH!

• @A guy with brown hair and brown eyes. In the off chance you are talking about myself who has blonde hair and hazel eyes which could be seen as brownish, I also happen to be autistic transfer student ranter from a few days ago. So while I don't see talking to girls as impossible, it is somewhat difficult for me to converse with anyone until I know them well. In case it is me to which you are referring, keep at it, because if you are who I think you are, I do like you...

• In response to AU's ban on tobacco, I decided to institute my own. Effective immediately, AU is not allowed to give assignments. The negative effects of assignments are well documented and range from mental stress to stomach ulcers to potentially heart attack and stroke. I know the change won't be easy, so I am setting up corners of campus where work can be assigned and then ignored. I am also offering cessation services because I decided AU has an addiction that I have the authority to confront. Also, please note that homework will not be allowed in cars on campus.

• @systematic checkpoints OP here, my comment should not be construed as either in support of or against these allegations. Just to be clear on that.

• Is Wayne Brady gonna have to choke an Eagle Secure?

• stop whining about collegiate acb you know you go there

• How about for real SG reform, you cut out all the horsesh*t behind the scenes positions like the Chief of Staff. You have to spend X amount of hours in the office a week and you're 20-21 years old. Do you really need to pay an email writer?

• Sign in the library entrance: "Printers are down CAMPUS WIDE!" Wow AU. Just wow.

• Anyone else notice Joe Ste. Marie basically copied David Shadburn's slogan?

• "If money is stolen, and the Eagle never reports it, did it really happen?"

• I'm going to miss the Gov'na when he leaves... no more people to rant about the cruelty of international politics...

• Hey David Shadburn, quit it with the buzzwords. We all know you're a spleader.

• @Please, I just want you to get good grades. So we can be together as long as possible: Any clue as to who you're writing this for?

• March 25 - David Shadburn's Slogen: Integrity, Transparency, Advocacy. March 27 - Joe Ste.Marie's Slogen: Accountability, Transparency, Advocacy Really?

• I wanna be in love with a woman as much as Garrison Keillor is with the sound of his own voice.

Section 202 hosts Connor Sturniolo and Gabrielle McNamee are joined by fellow Eagle staff member and phenomenal sports photographer, Josh Markowitz. Follow along as they discuss the United Football League and the benefits it provides for the world of professional football.
