The SG Board of Elections will set up a polling place tent for the first time in recent memory to encourage more students to vote, BOE chair Douglas Bell said.
The polling place tent will be on the Quad on April 2 from 11 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. and April 3 from 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
The tent will include laptops for students to sign into the student portal and vote, Bell said. Students will still be able to vote on their myAU portal anytime from 9 a.m. on April 2 through 5 p.m. on April 3, Bell said.
Candidates are not allowed to campaign within 20 feet of the tent. The schedule for the polling place tent is subject to weather, volunteer availability and voter turnout, Bell said.
