Vandals strike more Coke machines in Asbury

Two vending machines were defaced on the first floor of Asbury Hall Nov. 25 in a continued string of Coca-Cola vandalisms.

A Coca-Cola and Minute Maid machine were targeted. Black spray paint was used to place an “X” on the face of each machine and cloud its coin intake mechanism.

The vandalism was listed in Public Safety’s Daily Crime Log .

Multiple Coca-Cola machines were vandalized in Ward, Bender Arena and the Mary Graydon Center on October 18. More Coke machines in Ward and Hurst were vandalized on Jan. 30.

Public Safety has been offering a $500 reward since March for the positive identification of a man thought to be linked to some of the vandalism.

Correction: This article has been corrected in numerous places to reflect the correct timing of the vandalism.
