Gabe Menchaca won the Inter-Fraternity Council election for president on Nov. 6. Menchaca is a Sigma Phi Epsilon brother and a junior in the School of Public Affairs
According to Menchaca, the six other elected officials are:
● Michael Billy of Pi Kappa Alpha; Executive Vice President
● Blaise Fairfax of Sigma Chi; Vice President of Finance
● Kevin Taub of Sigma Phi Epsilon; Vice President of Judicial Affairs
● Conor Siegel of Sigma Chi; Vice President of Recruitment
● Jonathan Brennan of Delta Tau Delta; Vice President of Member Development
● Joe Reid of Pi Kappa Alpha; Vice President of Community Relations
Siegel and Taub were appointed to fill the vacancies left by two Tau Kappa Epsilon members, who could not serve after the chapter closed, Menchaca said in an email. This is Siegel and Taub’s first elected term, according to Menchaca.
Each board member will organize an event with Billy, who is in charge of Greek Week and Brennan will bring speakers to campus, Menchaca said in an email.
“Our big focus with these events is promoting a sense of interfraternalism in our community,” Menchaca said in an email. “Getting our entire membership to a place where they feel comfortable not only with each other but with the IFC as an institution.”
