SG reinstates line-up policy for Founder’s Day tickets

Update: 12:52 a.m.
Student Government has repealed the Feb. 7 policy so that students can wait in line without a time restriction, according to the SG Facebook page.

Original story
Students cannot wait in line for Founder’s Day Ball tickets more than 30 minutes before the tickets are released starting Feb. 7, according to a post on the Residence Hall Association Facebook page last night.

This change is a result of the large amount of students lining up on the lower level of the bookstore causing fire hazards, according to Founder’s Week Director Abigail Finn.

Students in line more than 30 minutes before the distribution time will be asked to leave. If they refuse to do so, students will not be given tickets that day, according to the release.

The decision to shorten the time wait was made to make the distribution of tickets fair without students lining up hours in advance, Finn said.
