Sarah Preston

Secretary candidate

Correction appended

If elected secretary, School of Communication and School of Public Affairs sophomore Sarah Preston, said she plans to execute internal and external communication reforms next year.

“Internally, [I want to] make [communication] more organized with student media, so that we can disseminate information more easily and open up better ways of two-way communication both with student media and the student body,” she said.

Externally, the Hersey, Pa. native said SG leaders need to quickly take responsibility when problems arise, such as this year’s ticket distribution for the Founder’s Day Ball.

“It’s really important that in situations like that we just be as open and honest with students as possible about what’s going on,” she said. “Full disclosure is of the utmost importance.”

Preston is a huge fan of Marvel Comics and loves listening to country music.
