Original Story:

Student Government plans to host the Founder’s Day Ball on Feb. 21 regardless of snow and freezing rain predictions for the D.C. area.

The Washington Post’s Capital Weather Gang blog is predicting snow on Saturday afternoon followed by a mixture of sleet, freezing rain and rain that night the D.C. area, according to the Feb. 20 forecast. Roads are predicted to be slick, which could pose a problem for buses and students traveling to the Air and Space Museum.

“We will not be canceling,” said SG Vice President Molly Kepner by email on Feb. 20. “The forecast shows a light storm, so we will encourage people to travel with caution.”

SG will update students by Facebook either today or Saturday regarding the weather, Kepner said by email.
