Washington Post film critic to lead Oscars discussion at AU

Washington Post film critic Ann Hornaday will discuss the upcoming Academy Awards and the nominated films at an event that will be live-streamed to the AU community Feb. 17.

The event is the latest in School of Communication professor Jane Hall’s American Forum series, which features discussions of pertinent political and media issues with journalists and political figures. Students can ask questions to Hornaday on Twitter using the hashtag #AUattheMovies.

Hornaday was a finalist for the 2008 Pulitzer Prize in criticism, and she has been writing for the Post since 2002.

Though the event is closed to the public, it will be available via live-stream for free from 2:40 p.m. to 3:45 p.m.
