Total Wine & More founder to speak Nov. 18

Total Wine & More founder David Trone will speak to students on Nov. 18 in an event co-sponsored by the Kennedy Political Union and the Kogod School of Business.

Trone opened his original wine shop with his brother, Robert Trone, in 1991, according to a KPU release. Now, his company employs 4,000 people, and he continues to search for wines across the globe.

“The company they have built together, Total Wine & More, has grown across the United States and now is the largest independent alcoholic beverage retailer in the nation,” the release said.

The event, held in the Kogod student lounge, will begin at 4 p.m. and is open to students and faculty. Limited seating will be available on a first-come, first-served basis.
