Daily Show correspondent Hasan Minhaj will visit AU as the first Student Union Board and Kennedy Political Union joint event of the school year.
Minhaj will speak on September 14 in Bender Arena at 7 p.m.
Hasan Minhaj resides in New York, and is best known for his role as a correspondent on The Daily Show with Trevor Noah. He is a comedian, actor and writer, and has his own one-man show called “Homecoming King”. The performance had a successful sold out run in 2015, and recently returned Off Broadway. Minhaj’s viral web series “The Truth with Hasan Minhaj” has grown in popularity, and has been mentioned in The Huffington Post and The New York Times.
Minhaj is a featured storyteller for The Moth, and his work has contributed to films, web and television pieces. He hosted Stand Up Planet, a special documentary produced by The Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation. He also had his own media appearances as a guest star on Arrested Development on Netflix, HBO’s Getting On, and @ Midnight on Comedy Central.
