Steak N Egg pushes neighborhood fair back one week due to hurricane

(Steak 'n Egg)

Hurricane Joaquin has forced Tenleytown diner Steak-N-Egg to push back its planned neighborhood fair, from this Saturday to October 10.

The first ever Steak-N-Egg Neighborhood Fair will take place at its 4700 Wisconsin Ave NW location, from 10:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. The restaurant will feature free food, special promotions and giveaways with the help of over a dozen other Tenleytown retailers, according to a press release.

Steak-N-Egg has also announced that it is expanding its footprint at the site, which is slated for redevelopment. It will remain open 24/7 throughout renovations, and full details of its expansion plans will be revealed at the fair, the press release said.

“We have invited several local Tenleytown merchants to join us at our location to offer special promotions along with coupons and giveaways to everyone who attends. In addition, the radio station from American University, WVAU, will be providing on site entertainment for the day,” the press release adds.
